Partick Thistle boss Ian McCall has named his team to face Premiership side Aberdeen in the League Cup.
The Jags can book a trip to Hampden tonight if they can claim a major quarter-final shock victory over the Dons. It’s been 47 long years since the Maryhill club reached the semi-final of this competition. Hundreds of fans are making the long journey dreaming of a famous night. And they know their team will have to deliver a massive performance if they are to get past Jim Goodwin’s Dons.
The Championship leaders travel to the North East on the back of a 2-1 win away to Hamilton at the weekend with Aberdeen sweeping aside Hearts 2-0 at home in the league. Scott Tiffoney has earned a starting slot after his heroics at Hamilton, with Anton Dowds chosen to lead the line ahead of Brian Graham.

Assistant manager Alan Archibald says the Jags will go into the contest full of confidence.
Speaking ahead of the match Archibald said: “It’s a game we’ll look forward to. We look forward going to Aberdeen full of confidence after the win on Saturday.
“Everybody sees that chance to get to Hampden, everybody loves going there for a national competition. On our day we’re good enough to beat most teams so we don’t see why not we’re full of confidence, we’re well in the league.
“We know it’s a strong Aberdeen team off the back of their good result [against Hearts] but they’ll see the same chance to get to a semi-final.”
Partick Thistle XI: Sneddon, McMillan, Milne, Holt, Tiffoney, Bannigan, Dowds, Lawless McKinnon, Muirhead, Docherty
