A Glasgow park has been padlocked shut, leaving many residents baffled.
Grandmother, Sandra Duff, was taking her grandson to Thornwood Park in Partick when she noticed the gate had been chained closed.
The concerned resident said that she never noticed any warning and that people were unsure when the play area would be reopening
Sandra told Glasgow Live: "I stay in Partick near to Thornwood Park which is very busy.

"A few days ago I took my grandson over and I couldn't believe it was padlocked shut, with a sign saying it was for safety reasons.
"I think it's to do with the soft tarmac because it might have been broken. I spoke to someone else and they said it had been locked for a few weeks.
"It is really terrible because the school holidays are coming up and it is used by a lot of people locally. There aren't a lot of green spaces in the area.
"We're not sure how long it will be shut for. Goodness knows how long it will be shut."
Thornwood Park has been the heartbeat of the community for years, playing host to a variety of events.
It is also a safe haven for children living nearby to enjoy their summer holidays with friends.
The concerned Granny said: "It's going to impact families a lot because the next park is all the way up Crow Road.
"I know a few people who go all the time. It's a great park where kids meet other children to play.
"It is just a great community place. There is a fun day coming up soon but I don't know if it will be held there.
"It really is an important part of Partick."
Glasgow City Council has been contacted for comment.
