A lane on the A1 will be closed overnight after a man was injured when two lorries and a HGV were involved in a crash near Nottinghamshire.
Lincolnshire Police tweeted that the southbound lane of the A1 at Foston will be closed all night to allow for maintenance on the carriageway following the earlier collision. The road was shut just before 12noon and has remained closed while work is carried out.
The southbound lane has been closed to allow for investigations and recovery and one lane of the northbound lane is also closed.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said earlier: "We were called to the A1 at Foston, near to the Long Bennington turn off, just after 11.15am today following a report of a collision between an HGV, and two maintenance lorries. The southbound lane has been closed to allow for investigations and recovery. One lane of the northbound lane is also closed. We expect these closures to remain in place until approximately 3pm today.
"One man, the driver of the HGV, has been taken to hospital with injuries described as minor. We are asking people to avoid the area where possible and to find an alternative route."
In an updated statement, a spokesperson said: "The southbound lane of the A1 at Foston will be closed all night. This is to allow for maintenance on the carriageway following an earlier RTC."
