If you thought day one of Parklife was hot, well then buckle in because day two of the UK's biggest metropolitan festival is a scorcher. Temperatures here at Heaton Park are to hit 27 degrees by mid-afternoon, and there's even a chance of thunder and showers.
The potential for mixed weather hasn't deterred festival-goers though, as 80,000 headed in for the second day of Parklife. Today, a huge lineup of international and homegrown talent takes the stage, from Wu-Tang Clan + Nas and Prodigy to Self Esteem and The 1975.
Once again, those headed in for the second day dressed for the occasion, sporting everything from bucket hats and Hawaiian shirts to bikini tops and short shorts. It feels a little more Costa Del Soul than Costa Del Prestwich.

Last night, music-fans were treated to standout performances from the likes of Little Simz, Rudimental, Aitch and Fred Again...the latter ending with the set with Billie (Loving Arms), building it up and bringing it back down again several times - a song that echoed through the city as thousands made their way home for the night after a heady day in Heaton Park.
Today, as well as headline performances from The 1975 and The Prodigy, those in early doors will be able to catch sets from Flo, Confidence Man, Chaos in the CBD, LF System and JPEGMAFIA. Latter on Becky Hill, Wu-Tang Clan + Nas, Self Esteem and Carl Cox.
Those heading in shortly and over the next couple of hours might also want to keep in mind the yellow weather warning for thunderstorms that is in place today from midday to 9pm with all of Greater Manchester affected. Today's weather is looking set to be a mixed bag, with the heat and sun around for most of the day, but thunderstorms unfortunately predicted.
That said, it wouldn't be Parklife without a bit of unpredictable weather, and regardless a shower or too might help with the high temperatures. Yesterday attendees warned of "unbearable" heat, with many seeking out the shade as temperatures hit the high twenties.
Food and drinks tents were packed out as crowds gathered to make sure they stayed hydrated and well fed, with bucket hats, sunglasses and sun cream an essential staple for the day.
