Park taped off by police after sexual assault on woman

A PARK in Clydebank has been taped off by police after a woman was sexually assaulted.

Officers said a 47-year-old woman was attacked at Dalmuir Park at around 6pm on Tuesday.

An investigation into the assault is currently at an early stage with cops working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.

A police presence will remain in the local area while the investigation continues.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information relating to the attack is urged to come forward and contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2657.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, officers received a report of a sexual assault of a 47-year-old woman in Dalmuir Park, Clydebank.

"Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

"A police presence will remain in the local area while the investigation continues.

"Anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information, is asked to contact Police Scotland quoting incident number 2657 of Tuesday, November 8, 2022."
