Paris Hilton’s mother has rushed to defend Kim Kardashian after the star sparked a backlash with one of her Christmas outfits.
Kathy Hilton, 63 - who is the mother of 41-year-old Paris, 39-year-old Nicky, 33-year-old Barron and 28-year-old Conrad - felt compared to speak up after 42-year-old Kimmy K caused furore following a festive party.
Kim was slammed by fans when she rocked up to a party hosted by the multi-millionaire Hilton family sporting a simple rock band t-shirt and leather trousers.
Other guests at the party wore their finest outfits - with many opting to wear festive colours and designs.
Sex tape star Kim was branded ‘disrespectful’ for showing up at a Holiday party seemingly without making much effort.
But Kathy has now passionately defended her guest - explaining that invitations stated those attending could wear what they wanted.
Addressing the backlash with TMZ, Kathy declared it was “silly” and “ridiculous” that Kim was coming under fire.
She explained: “Everybody was just to come as they want and be comfortable.”
She added: “She always looks beautiful.”
Kim had been blasted a week before when she arrived at the Hilton’s Holiday Party wearing wearing a cropped concert T-shirt and studded black leather trousers.
She was hammered by fans online who contrasted what she was wearing compared to more elegant stars - including Paris herself who was dressed in a festive red minidress.
On Christmas Eve, however, it was the turn of the Kardashians to host an extravagant festive party - with fantasy forest decor and huge amounts of food and drink.
For that occasion, Kim rocked up wearing a dazzling silver outfit which shimmered on the dance floor.
Guests were treated to a performance by chart topping star Sia - who was joined by Kim’s daughter North West, who sang a duet with the Aussie star.
But the Kardashians have been criticised by some fans for flaunting their extreme wealth at a time when many around the world are struggling to keep their lights on due to cost of living crisis.
One fan criticised the family for flaunting their wealth online, witing: “flaunting this is not cool when people are struggling, if they wanna do it keep it to yourself, your doing yourselves no favours... Shocking that they don't realise.”
However, others defended the Kardashians declaring that they are free to spend their millions as they see fit - and others noted that the reality stars have been known to donate to charity in the past.
