Most people would be pretty livid if they found out someone had stolen one of their belongings - but Paris Hilton has seen the funny side. The US socialite, 41, gave a hilarious response to a man who confessed to pinching a pair of Christian Dior sunglasses from her car in a TikTok video that has now gone viral.
Greg, who goes by the username @asapscience on the social media platform, joined the 'Super Freaky Girl' trend of revealing a deep secret to the tune of Nicki Minaj's new song - and completely outplayed everyone else. "One thing about me is that I once robbed Paris Hilton," he began the video by saying. "And I hope she never sees this cause I could go to jail."
Taking us back to that fateful day in 2007, Greg explained that he had been drinking at an MIA concert in Toronto before going to a club.
"And then a big black car pulled up and all these people screamed and Paris Hilton got out," Greg recalled, before showing a photo of him grabbing Paris for a quick selfie.
Greg then revealed that everyone, including Paris, went inside the club but he and his friend opened the car door and got inside.
"There was no one in the car, so we just got in the car," he said, then explaining that they found the script for Paris' movie House of Wax, which she was filming at the time.
Their amazing moment then came to a sudden halt as they thought the police were coming and Greg's friend yelled "run".
"So we ran, but my friend was actually screaming with joy because she'd stolen her Christian Dior sunglasses," Greg confessed. "Sorry Paris. So we have Christian Dior sunglasses that are Paris Hilton's."
The sunglasses became such a precious item to Greg and his friend that they decided to share them in what they named "a sisterhood of the travelling Paris Hilton sunglasses".
He ended the video by saying: "So, yes, I robbed Paris Hilton, I hope that's okay. And please don't put me in jail, you're rich."
Thankfully, Paris didn't decide to go down the legal route and decided to record a video of herself reacting to Greg's confession.
While wearing some heart-shaped sunglasses and a pink tracksuit, the shocked American socialite mouthed "what" when Greg started to explain what happened.
But she clearly saw the funny side as she danced around to the video and shook her head when Greg pleaded not to be sent to jail.
In the caption of her clip, which has got 27 million views, Paris wrote: "LOL! Can you please do a reveal of the sisterhood of the travelling Paris Hilton sunglasses?"
Fans praised Paris for her "humble" and "iconic" response, with one person in the comments labelling her the "coolest, chillest celebrity ever".
In the comments section, Greg wrote: "I'M SO SORRY PARIS!!! We can give them back to you!!!! WE HAVE THEM STILL LOLOLOL, you’re the sweetest!!!!"
Proving why she is so loved by fans, Paris sent back: "I forgive you and you can keep them! I’m not going to ruin your tradition of the sisterhood of the traveling Paris Hilton sunglasses."
Giving us all what we wanted, a flustered Greg came back with another hilarious TikTok in which he revealed he still had possession of the sunglasses.
In a follow-up video, Greg said "me so sorry for robbing you" before asking Paris whether she would like to join the "Sisterhood of the Travelling Sunglasses".
Paris did another reaction video, wearing her own pair of designer shades that hadn't been stolen, where she mouthed "yes" in response to be asked to join the group.
Greg continued: "I will happily give them back to you as long as you give them back to me. Kidding. No, you can have them back, they are yours, I did break into your car and steal them from you. Again, I am so sorry. I was a wild child."
While thanking the reality TV star for being "such a good sport", Greg then asked whether the oversized black sunglasses are still trendy.
After being asked whether they were back in fashion, Paris mouthed "yes" in her repsonse video.
Greg continued: "But I'll wear them out this weekend for sure in honour of you not taking me to literal court. Kisses."
What made Paris' stitched video even funnier was the fact she was sat in a room which had dozens of designer shades behind her on shelves.
In the caption, she wrote: "Omg, I remember these sunglasses They look hot on you so you can keep them! PS: They NEVER went out of style."
