Thomas Matthew Crooks’ parents were searching for him on Saturday before the Trump rally shooting took place. Concerned about his whereabouts, they contacted law enforcement to report him missing. The call was made prior to Crooks opening fire at Trump during the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Although the specifics of what his parents communicated to authorities remain unclear, they are actively cooperating with law enforcement. The FBI is currently working to establish a motive for the attack.
