Parents don't want their children playing on Nottingham park due to anti-social behaviour

Police have stepped up patrols at a Nottingham park after parents expressed a reluctance to let their kids visit due to anti social behaviour. People living near the park off Birchover Road in Bilborough say they regularly see teenagers drinking alcohol in the evenings and leaving litter on the play area, which people are being forced to clean up in the morning.

One parent, Martin Landowski, who lives just around the corner from the park, said he is hesitant to let his children play as a result of the behaviour. "It's drinking alcohol, causing a mess. Every time I get back from a night shift and walk the dog usually there's a mess," the 38-year-old told Nottinghamshire Live.

"Things like fast food and bottles of alcohol. I've got two kids, 12 and eight, but I can't let them out. I will not let them out on their own."
