Two hooded men have been caught on camera entering the driveway of a property in Giffnock before peering in the windows and making off with packages in shocking footage.
Residents in East Renfrewshire have reported a significant increase in incidents of theft in recent weeks with criminals allegedly stealing cars and breaking into homes.
One homeowner caught two thieves on CCTV entering their driveway while he was out in what looks to be an attempted robbery. After first being picked up walking along the opposite side of the street, the pair can be seen crossing the road and entering the gates of the property on Ayr Road on January 6.

The men, who have their hoods up, faces covered, and are wearing gloves, can be seen peering into the front windows and looking toward the rear of the house before spotting parcels that had been left undelivered at the front door. The camera then records them taking the parcels and casually walking off.
The shocked homeowner reported the incident to police with the video later shared on social media to urge other locals to be vigilant. The incident is one of several in the area that has been shared online in recent weeks.
Local area officers from Police Scotland have assured the public that there has been "no increase in relation to thefts and robberies in the area" and that they had not received a report on the incident on Ayr Road.
