Midlothian paramedics rushed to the aid of a woman who collapsed outside her home, as her family feared she suffered a stroke.
Neighbours found the 63-year-old conscious outside her house but in a confused state.
The incident unfolded during the latest episode of BBC's Paramedics on Scene, a series following the life of paramedics, technicians and call handlers across Scotland.

The show recently returned for its fourth season with a new episode every Sunday at 9pm.
During this weeks episode, paramedic Scott and ambulance technician Kim were in the middle of their shift when they were called to an incident in Dalkeith.
Cameras followed the pair as they arrived at the home of the 63-year-old, where relatives had gotten her in and lying down in the living room.
The paramedics quickly got to work, as they had a short time window to decipher if the woman had suffered a stroke or not - in order to get her the best care possible, and lower the risks of serious issues.
However, while examining, Scott changed his mind as to what had happened to the patient, as he suspected a possible sepsis infection, due to her high temperature.
Paramedic Scott said: "We quickly established that she had an extremely high temperature, so that points you down the infection route more.
"But, it's not totally unheard of for a patient to have an infection and to have a stroke."
The paramedics then discovered that the woman had fallen and hurt her head in the collapse, and had also been sick.
Paramedic Kim added: "We're sort of trying to deal with the possibility of a head injury and trauma, as well as the patient vomiting and having signs of an infection as well, so there was quite a lot going on at that job."
The crew decided to get the woman to the hospital immediately, as they are unsure if they are dealing with a stroke, or a reaction to an infection.
All the paramedics are aware of is that both of these outcomes could be life-threatening, so they needed to get the patient on the move quickly.
Kim and Scott checked the patient out in the ambulance and delivered an IV of paracetamol to combat the possible infection.
Following this, the patients husband boarded the vehicle, and the paramedics took the couple to the nearest hospital.
At the end of the episode, viewers were informed that the patient was diagnosed with sepsis, and spent ten days in the hospital getting treatment.
The programme also let viewers know that the patient is now making a good recovery from the illness.
All episodes of Paramedics on Scene are available to stream on the BBC iPlayer, with a new episode released every Sunday at 9pm.
