Now that Paralives is finally here, fans of other genre gems like The Sims 4 are wondering if they can use more, erm, NSFW mods to spice things up a bit – and developers say yes. Well, within reason, anyway. Over on Reddit, Paralives Studio confirms as much in a Q&A with players.
Upon one fan asking "the messy question," as they say, of what the devs' stance is "on adult content being modded into the game" as "games like these tend to be very popular for that sort of thing" – because, let's face it, they really are, we learn how the team truly feels about WickedWhims-esque mods coming to Paralives.
Pretty neutral, apparently. "Regarding adult content on the Steam Workshop," respond the devs, "so long as it follows Steam's guidelines on user-uploaded content and is properly tagged as adult content, it is OK!" Keep in mind, this only applies to mods on Steam.
"We also only moderate mods inside of the Steam Workshop, so anything out of there will be out of our jurisdiction, so to speak," as Paralives Studio states, after all.

Honestly, that seems pretty fair – and seeing as WickedWhims itself stands as one of the most popular Sims 4 mods to date, I'm sure Paralives' own, ahem, 18+ content will take off soon enough.
Heck, a quick look at the Steam workshop shows me that we've already got a very aptly named "UncensoredParas" mod available to download. Over on NexusMods, which is notably out of the devs' "jurisdiction," as they say, it's no different.
I'm not going to name others here because, surprise, surprise, they get quite NSFW indeed, but it's safe to say Paralives players are hard (sigh) at work on adult content for the otherwise cozy little life sim.
There are plenty of safe-for-work mods to browse through as well, however, so it's not all an 18+ hellscape – or dreamscape, if that's your vibe. Considering how much the devs seem to promote fan creativity, there are sure to be more underway, too.
Only time will tell what new NSFW creations are to come out of the Paralives community, but I'm certain they'll only get wilder – much to no Simmer's surprise.
