KOLKATA: Riyan Parag is the only player from Assam to play in the Indian Premier League and that experience is coming handy for the all-rounder who notched up his seventh consecutive half-century to help his side knock Bengal out of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 meet by beating them by eight wickets and qualify for the quarterfinals in Mohali on Tuesday.
It was yet another all-round show by the youngster who first played a lead hand in restricting Bengal to a modest 138 for eight in their 20 overs returning with figures of 4-0-23-2.
