NEW DELHI: The hosting of the Para Shooting World Cup in India from March 6-15 is in jeopardy due to the suspension of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) by the sports ministry. The ministry cited "intentional delay" by PCI in conducting elections on time, leading to the suspension of its recognition.
The Para Shooting World Cup, a significant para shooting competition, is the first-ever mega event of its kind allotted to India. It offers 24 Paris Paralympic quota places, and more than 500 shooters from 52 countries are expected to participate.
