As we all await Paolo Nutini's newest album Last Night in the Bittersweet with baited breath, a new co-writer has come to the forefront - and it's none other than movie legend Quentin Tarantino. The Hollywood director is credited as a songwriter on opening track titled Afterneath, according to The Sun.
Paisley-born Paolo contacted the director to query whether he could include a passage form 1993 film True Romance, starring Christian Slater and Arquette, it's been reported. Quentin is known for often dismissing requests of this nature but agreed on this occasion.

A source said: "Paolo is a big film fan and the section used in the song really resonated with him. Quentin never usually signs off on stuff like this but Paolo sent him the track and it turned out that he loved it and he gave the go-ahead.
“Paolo likes to make all of his music himself, but to have Tarantino’s name credited on your track is pretty cool.”
This is not the first time crooner Paolo has included movie clips in his songs, as he did the same with Iron Sky. His hit 2014 track featured a passage from a speech in 1940's film, The Great Dictator, featuring Charlie Chaplin.
To promote his newest album, Paolo is embarking on a loaded festival tour in the summer, which includes Glasgow's own TRNSMT festival. Fans were in hysteria when, on top of his festival gigs, he announced a UK tour in October.
Last Night in the Bittersweet will be released on July 1, and features singles Lose It, Through The Echoes and Shine A Light.
