Carolina Panthers wideout Robbie Anderson caused a teeny-tiny stir over the past few weeks.
First, he wasn’t present for voluntary organized team activities at the end of May. But, the keyword there is “voluntary,” so no biggie.
Then on Saturday, he posted a cryptic tweet teasing an early retirement. That, however, was deleted not too long after and didn’t ultimately seem like much.
Well, neither of those things mattered—as the 29-year-old was present on Monday for the start of mandatory minicamp. Plus, he seemed pretty geeked about it . . .

Despite the aforementioned OTA absence and tweet, Anderson could very well be coming into his seventh NFL campaign with a bit of motivation. Like, have you seen the uniform number change? That’s a twist.
Most importantly, though, Anderson is coming off the worst season of his pro tenure. 2021 marked the first year of his career in which averaged below 10.0 yards per reception (9.8). That, of course, was particularly worrisome given his ability as a dangerous downfield threat.
Regardless, that’s the past and this is the present. And Anderson is presently present for the week.
