Panthers’ updated active roster as Marquis Haynes Sr. heads to IR

The Carolina Panthers have temporarily lost another member of their active roster to injured reserve.

As announced on Monday, outside linebacker Marquis Haynes Sr. was shelved due to his back injury. Per head coach Frank Reich, the sixth-year defender—who was very confident of his availability for Week 1—sustained a setback in his recovery.
