Never mind a show or a movie. The Carolina Panthers’ preferred date of choice may be dinner and a pro day.
According to MMQB senior NFL reporter Albert Breer, the team’s traveling brass will be dining with University of Kentucky quarterback Will Levis in Lexington tonight. Just as with Ohio State University’s C.J. Stroud in Columbus and University of Alabama’s Bryce Young in Tuscaloosa, they’ll be trying to get to know the 23-year-old passer—who could be their choice with the 2023 NFL draft’s No. 1 overall pick.
Once again, it’ll be the same names sitting down at the table for Carolina—owners David and Nicole Tepper, general manager Scott Fitterer, assistant general manager Dan Morgan, vice president of football administration Samir Suleiman, head coach Frank Reich, offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, quarterbacks coach Josh McCown and senior assistant Jim Caldwell.
Levis will be throwing at Kentucky’s pro day tomorrow, hoping to give the Panthers and other quarterback-needy teams another look at his cannon of an arm.
