News travels fast, especially in the NFL.
The Carolina Panthers received a hard lesson about that on Monday, after they parted ways with head coach Frank Reich. According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, some of the team’s players found out about the move through social media.
I've been told by multiple #Panthers players that they found out about Frank Reich's firing through social media. A team meeting was called shortly thereafter.

Kaye then followed up by noting that the organization’s intent was to inform players of the decision before it became public. That, however, would obviously not end up being the case.
Reich, a well-liked leader across NFL locker rooms, leaves Charlotte after just 11 games. The former Panthers quarterback, the first to ever take a snap under center for the franchise, is now the first head coach to be fired in back-to-back seasons since the 1970 merger after being hiring on a four-year deal this past January.
Carolina currently sits at a league-worst 1-10 record. They rank 30th in total offense and 29th in points per game.
