On Thursday night, the (previously) 1-7 Carolina Panthers went to 1-8 after losing to the (previously) 2-7 Chicago Bears—the team who owns their first-round pick in the upcoming draft. Oh, and they lost against an undrafted rookie quarterback . . . while having this year’s No. 1 overall pick under center.
So, as you’d imagine, Panthers fans were further down in the dumps following the 16-13 defeat . . .
