For the first time in nearly a month, the Carolina Panthers won’t be wearing their popular black helmets when they take the field this weekend. But they are wearing something that’s somewhat fresh.
As announced on Friday evening, the team will be rolling out a brand-new uniform combination on Sunday. The Panthers—for their Week 13 contest against the NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers—will be suiting up in their silver helmets, black jerseys, blue pants and black socks.
Here’s a sneak peek at the look:

The Panthers have worn their (less-popular) silver helmets eight times this season. They are 2-6 in those games.
This upcoming matchup will mark the first of two between Carolina and Tampa Bay this season. The Panthers, dating back to the 2020 campaign, were victorious in just one of their previous eight games against the Buccaneers.
