Air fryer users can give their favourite pancakes a new, less messy spin this Pancake Tuesday thanks to one TikToker's hack.
Before you decide to start looking for Dublin cafes and restaurants offering pancakes because you're not looking forward to the mess, you might want to see this new mess-free hack for making a pancake pile. The tech retail company Currys has shared a genius hack of cooking multiple pancakes in one go using an air fryer, with no cleanup involved.
They posted a video on TikTok explaining how to get the perfect air-fried pancake. You would just need some layers of baking parchment and pour a small amount of batter onto it.

Repeat until you have a stack of parchment paper and pancake batter in the drawer of the air fryer and pop it on for a few minutes. Currys doesn’t have a set time, but we recommend checking every minute or so until the top pancake is fluffy. Then take them out and finish with a topping of your choice.
For the batter, you can use our ultimate pancake recipe. It would make approximately eight in a frying pan, meaning you could probably get up to 14 pancakes, depending on the size of your air fryer.
- 100 grams of plain flour
- Two eggs
- 250 ml of milk
- One tbsp of sunflower oil or two tbsp melted butter
- Optional: a pinch of salt for savoury pancakes, or a pinch of caster sugar for sweet pancakes
- Topping of your choice
