Pamela Anderson's minimalist beauty era got its biggest spotlight yet at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where the actress was honored with amfAR's Award of Courage on September 6 for her philanthropic work and long-standing support of HIV research. The recognition, presented at the amfAR Gala Venezia at Hilton Molino Stucky, arrived during a packed week in Venice for Anderson, who is at the festival with her new film "Place to Be," co-starring Taika Waititi and Ellen Burstyn.
For the gala itself, Anderson wore a custom Calvin Klein Collection gown in a vivid clementine satin, paired with a matching floor-length shawl. The strappy, straight-across bodice gave way to a fitted midsection and a tapered skirt that pooled at her feet, an old-Hollywood silhouette that stood out against the deeper jewel tones favored by much of the Venice red carpet this year. True to the approach she's maintained since 2023, Anderson kept her face largely bare for the gala, save for a glossy lip, letting the citrus-bright dress do the talking.
