Palworld TCG cards are already selling for up to $4,000 as Pocketpair's tabletop game follows in Pokemon's footsteps, with resellers dominating the market 1 day after launch

Palworld Pal with shocked expression.

Palworld released its first set of TCG cards just yesterday (July 30, 2026), but some of the rarest cards are already selling online for up to $4,000. This includes cards that were sold on auction websites like eBay before the set was available to the public.

Pocketpair announced the first set of the Palworld tie-in TCG called Dawn of Palpagos in January 2026, but the first cards didn't go on sale until recently.

The brand-new TCG set reportedly sold over 3.5 million packs on release day, but certain cards, notably the rarest ones, began popping up online for breathtaking prices before the packs were even on sale.

The rarest card in the set is the Cattiva Gold Soul card. The first copy of this sold on eBay for almost $4,000 three days before the set officially launched.

Since the set's launch, a few more cards have sold for around $1,000 on the site, though some of these selling prices are obscured by accepted offers.

A copy of Chillet Dragon Whisperer sold for $1,400 the day before the set's launch, but copies have sold since then for around $1,100. You may see prices even higher than this online, but the sold price is the one that truly reflects what people are actually willing to pay.

Palworld has faced consistent criticism for following in the footsteps of the Pokemon franchise, and the massively inflated prices resellers are asking for aren't helping matters.

Over the last few years Pokemon cards have been increasingly difficult to legitimately purchase instead of giving in to scalpers' pricing, for reference. Hopefully, the Palworld TCG won't go the same way.

Palworld lead shrugs off "dead game" suggestions as Pocketpair's survival hit continues to bring in half a million concurrent Steam players mid-week, weeks after 1.0 launch
