Palworld lead shoots his shot, tells Fortnite dev to "reach out" if Epic ever wants to collab after producer says he'd "love" to see something similar to Pocketpair's game in the battle royale

Palworld.

Pocketpair's head of publishing and communications, John 'Bucky' Buckley, is shooting his shot to get a potential Fortnite crossover in motion.

Fortnite has crossed over with everything at this point, it feels like. South Park and SpongeBob SquarePants arrived in the game recently, and the rumor mill is saying the likes of Ed, Edd, n Eddy, The Office, and Regular Show are on the way. Basically, nothing seems to be off limits, even if it does not fit the vibes at all. And naturally, getting something into Fortnite can get more eyes on the source material, given how massive the player base is.

Robby Williams – gameplay producer on Fortnite, not the Take That singer turned CGI monkey – recently took to Twitter saying he's been getting back into Palworld. He explains, "I'm still kinda taken aback by how smart the design is if you like both creature collecting and base-building/optimization games." He adds, "I think Palworld has a really excellent gameplay loop around how the Pals play into improving production rates across the various base resources."

Bucky took note of this, quoting the Tweet, from Williams, saying, "Survival games aren't for everyone, but we're really glad Palworld is resonating with people!" After thanking Williams, Bucky had to shoot his shot: "If you ever want to put Palworld in Fortnite just reach out hehe."

Williams was also asked by a user if Fortnite will ever have a game mode similar to Palworld, to which he says: "I'd love to see something like that some day! I think the different approaches taken by games like Pokemon and Palworld are super interesting, so it's fun to think about what a Fortnite version of a creature collector would look like!"

Fortnite already has a whole bunch of different game modes separate from its main battle royale action, so who knows what the future could hold? It's clear that Pocketpair would be up for the official crossover if Epic ever comes knocking on its door, though.

Fortnite now allows in-game purchases in user-generated Creative maps, including for randomized items
