What you need to know
- After teasing Palworld's first raid boss battle in March, developer Pocketpair has added it to the game in a new version v0.2.0.6 patch.
- The update is available to download now on Steam, though Xbox and Microsoft Store players have to wait; Pocketpair says the patch ""will be released when ready" on these platforms.
- The raid battle is against a dark and gothy Pal called Bellanoir. She's a "powerful evil Pal" you can summon by building a Summoning Altar and then using new items called "slabs." Both you and your base Pals will fight her, and notably, there's an "extreme" version of the fight that's more difficult.
- Bellanoir, as well as future raid bosses, can drop Pal eggs when slain. Also, raid bosses can't be captured like normal Pals can.
- Pocketpair says "a larger, more content-packed update" is planned for Summer 2024. It will feature a new island and new Pals, and new buildings, weapons, and tower bosses in the works as well.
