Pals raise more than £1,000 with charity challenge at Colvend Golf Club

A group of golfing pals raised more than £1,000 for charity at the weekend.

Darren Maxwell and Mark Pflanz from Castle Douglas, and Alan Berry from Carlisle, played for 24 hours at Colvend Golf Club.

The trio teed off on Saturday lunchtime and kept going until Sunday, despite the torrential rain, wind and even thunder and lightning.
