Palm Sunday: Pope Leo says God rejects prayers of those who wage war

On Palm Sunday, Pope Leo XIV told worshippers that God does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, delivering a strong call for peace during Mass at the Vatican.

Thousands of people gathered in St Peter’s Square for the service marking the start of Holy Week, which leads up to Easter. Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus Christ’s entry into Jerusalem, when people welcomed him with palm branches.
