The Palisades Fire in California continues to pose challenges for firefighters, despite a decrease in wind intensity. According to California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Battalion Chief Brent Pascua, the unpredictable nature of the winds is making it difficult to contain the fire. Pascua highlighted that even though the winds may calm down at times, sudden gusts of 60 to 70 miles per hour can reignite the flames and change the situation rapidly.
Speaking to CNN, Pascua expressed his frustration with the erratic behavior of the fire due to the unpredictable winds. He emphasized the speed at which the fire can spread, making it a challenging situation for firefighting efforts.
