An excavation operation in Palestine has revealed approximately 20 more remains at a mass grave located at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. This recent discovery adds to the 324 remains previously recovered by the Palestinian civil defense team, bringing the total count to around 344.
Colonel Yamen Abu Suleiman, who is supervising the excavation, explained that the bodies are being sorted and assembled due to the dismembered state in which they were found.
The mass grave was initially found at the hospital in Khan Younis following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the area. The Israeli military has denied allegations that the IDF buried Palestinian bodies at the site, dismissing the claims as baseless.
The United Nations has issued a statement urging for an independent, effective, and transparent investigation into the discovery of mass graves at two Gaza hospitals that were subjected to siege and raids by Israeli forces earlier this year.
