Before she married into the Royal Family, Meghan Markle played paralegal Rachel Zane in hit US drama Suits. After the couple's romance was revealed, there were a number of rules introduced by the palace and royal courtiers which limited what the writers could include in the show to avoid embarrassment and the public jumping to conclusions.
