A pal of Scots Love Island bombshell Lydia Karakyriakou says she already has her eyes on one of the boys ahead of her villa entrance on Sunday night.
The retail customer assistant, 22, from Glasgow, is expected to send shockwaves amongst the islanders as she arrives alongside five other girls tomorrow.
Best friend Jessica Owen, 22, a social media executive with talent agency Aquarius Creative, says her pal has already developed a liking for Ron Hall, who is currently coupled up with Lana Jenkins.
Speaking exclusively to the Record ahead of Lydia's arrival, Jessica said: "I am so excited and I feel really emotional every time I think about it, I feel like I am going to cry.
"She is not really going in with any expectations to be honest. I don't think she wants to put pressure on herself because she is quite an open person.
"But I think she had her eye on Ron before she went in, she quite liked him, she said he was sweet. But I want her to couple up with Casey."
Lydia has vowed to bring a lot of flirtation to the ITV2 reality programme, and has said she is known as the 'friend therapist' back home.
"We have been through a lot and had our ups and downs. It is really weird not having her here, but I think I will cope because I will see her on the television," added Jessica.
Current islanders Tanya, Jessie, Lana, Samie, Olivia and Claudia will move into the notorious Casa Amor and be greeted by six new boys when they arrive there in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the boys in the main villa, Will, Shaq, Tom, Kai, Ron and Casey will eventually get to meet Lydia and the set of new females.
Lydia has been single for around a year and is said to be ready to get on the dating scene again after not having much luck with men previously. According to Jessica, she has had her "fair share of frogs and princes."
She added: "Lydia is a good laugh and I think she will do brilliant, she is in there to make her mum proud - and her mum is just so excited as well.
"I have been keeping in contact with her, because it's just been Lydia and her mum all her life.
"It must be quite weird for her having Lydia in the house everyday to nothing at all.
"But her mum is probably enjoying the peace and quiet for a little bit and the less washing."
Lydia Karakyriakou is also a social media influencer and managed by Uddingston-based Aquarius Creative, Scotland's biggest influencer agency.
Love Island continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
