Pakistan sentences 108 members of former PM Imran Khan's party over 2023 protests

Pakistan has sentenced 108 members of former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party to prison for their role in nationwide protests against the military in May 2023.

The verdicts, delivered on Thursday, include a 10-year prison sentence for Omar Ayub Khan, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the official opposition leader.
