Paisley woman Janette Bellshaw has hosted her final strawberry tea for charity after raising almost £20,000.
Janette has been holding the event for 10 years and raises money for Accord Hospice, which provides palliative care and other health services in Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire.
The event was held at the Victoria Bowling Club and welcomed everyone - including children - to enjoy a chance to fulfil all their sweet-tooth needs.

Janette would like to thank her sponsors and all those who took part in the event.
She said: “I just want to thank everyone who came and who helped on the day and brought raffle prizes. I also want to thank all the ladies at Victoria Bowling Club - they did the baking and looking after the people who were there. We are reckoning there must have been over 150 people in that hall - which is quite amazing.
“Eleanor Hassan is going to be taking over and keeping the strawberry tea going so I would like to thank her and all my family who gave me support over the last 10 years.
“I would like to thank my sponsors: Keth Keegan, McHargs the bakers, Alison Stewart Flowers, Luss Estate Company - they gave us a gift for the raffle - Roaster Coffee Shop, The White Cart Company and Allanha at Kooks Hair, Goddess Beauty and Tesco and Morrisons.”
The strawberry tea has raised thousands of pounds over the years for the hospice and this year was no exception with a staggering £3,500 raised at this year’s strawberry tea.
Vanessa Robinson, fundraiser at Accord, said: “Janette has been planning and hosting her strawberry teas since 2011. Since raising £500 on her first one, she has raised nearly £20,000 for ACCORD – the last Tea bringing in a staggering £2775. Over the years, word of her Strawberry Teas has travelled far and wide, people travel from all over to come and sample the tasty treats available.
“This year, Janette has decided it will be her last, but fear not as she has managed to rope one of her friends in to take over and continue holding the event. I have known Janette since she hosted her first tea. Each year she always makes a comment of how she feels she wouldn’t beat the year before figures, and each year she smashes it.
“Janette makes everything look effortless, and we are so grateful for all her support and hard work over the years. In the future, I have no doubt Janette will be bringing up the rear helping and guiding the event to the usual success it has always been.”
