A man has been charged with murder and a woman has been charged with concealing a serious offence after the death of a man outside a hospital on the New South Wales Mid North Coast last month.
On the morning of Sunday April 23 police were called to Taree Hospital after reports a man had presented with life-threatening wounds.
The 38-year-old was treated but died at the scene.
Strike Force Iteration was established to investigate the death.
The investigation suggested the Taree man was allegedly injured at an address in Tuncurry before being driven to hospital by a family member.
Last night, police arrested Matthew Ronald Bennis, 31, and Kaia Lynn Ridgeway, 25 at a motor inn on The Lakes Way, Forster.
Mr Bennis was charged with murder, supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.
Ms Ridgeway was charged with conceal serious indictable offence.
Both were refused bail and appeared before the Taree Local Court today.
Mr Bennis was denied bail in court today and his case will return to court in July.
The court heard Ms Ridgeway's previous failure to comply with bail was among the factors why she was also refused bail today.
Her matter is listed for mention in the court again on May 24.
