Serial paedophile John McClean is “as arrogant as they come” in prison and still believes he has done nothing wrong.
The former rugby coach at Terenure College faced more victims in court this week as he was jailed for a further four years for the sexual abuse of 22 boys.
The 78-year-old predator, already serving eight years for abusing 23 boys, is now the most prolific paedophile convicted in the Irish courts.

Sicko McClean is expected to be moved from the Midlands Prison to Dublin’s Arbour Hill alongside other pervs including ex priest Tony Walsh and Kieran Creaven.
A source told the Irish Sunday Mirror how McClean doesn’t engage with anyone in jail and is extremely rude to anyone who interacts with him. The source said: “He is a nasty piece of work. He’s pig ignorant and as arrogant as you can get.
“He still refuses to show any remorse for his crimes. He turns his nose up at other inmates and believes he is superior to them.
“He sits in his cell for most of the day on his own and doesn’t engage with anyone. Some of the country’s most evil paedophiles are at Arbour Hill Prison, so he will fit in perfectly.”
On Friday Judge Martin Nolan sentenced McClean to four years to run consecutive to his eight year term – so he will be 84 years old when he gets out.
One of McClean’s victims, Paul Kennedy, hit out at school authorities, claiming they facilitated the abuse and describing Terenure College as “a safe place for paedophiles”.
The Carmelite order, which runs Terenure College, said: “It was a grave failure that he was not stopped, and for this, we are truly sorry.”
