Fans at Dodger Stadium caused a delay during the NL Division Series game between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday night. The Padres emerged victorious with a 10-2 win, evening the series at one game apiece.

Yu Darvish delivered a stellar performance, holding the Dodgers to one run and three hits over seven innings. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two home runs, contributing to the Padres' record-tying six homers in the game.

The delay occurred in the seventh inning when fans threw baseballs towards San Diego left fielder Jurickson Profar and littered the field with trash. Security intervened, leading to a 12-minute pause in the game.

Manny Machado rallied the Padres during the delay, and the game eventually resumed with heightened security measures in place.

The series will now shift to San Diego for Game 3 on Tuesday.

Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers exited the game early due to discomfort in his sprained right ankle. The Padres took an early 3-0 lead, with Tatis and David Peralta hitting home runs off Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty.

Darvish, facing his former team, showcased his pitching prowess by shutting down the Dodgers' offense. Flaherty lasted 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs and five hits.

Max Muncy homered for the Dodgers in the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Padres' dominant performance.

Looking ahead to Game 3, the Dodgers have yet to announce their starting pitcher, while the Padres will send RHP Michael King to the mound. King has been impressive in previous outings, notably striking out 12 batters in seven scoreless innings against Atlanta in the NL Wild Card Series.

Both teams will be eager to gain an advantage as the series continues in San Diego.
