Paddy Pimblett has been told that he 'talks too much' by a UFC fighter who fought the legendary Jim Miller this past weekend.
Nikolas Motta was defeated by Miller, who has the most wins in UFC history, after a second round TKO. Prior to his fight with Miller though, Motta had some choice words for Liverpool's Paddy 'the Baddy'.
Motta has a few impressive victories on his resume and is considered to be an exciting prospect. Although he was unable to make a real name for himself against Miller, he was quick to call about Pimblett - hoping to fight the scouser and stating why he doesn't like him.
He told MMAFighting.com: "Another guy I’d really like to fight is that Englishman, Paddy Pimblett. I don’t like him that much. He talks too much, and he has a lot of hype.”
Motta revealed they tried to book him versus Pimblett for a UFC London event in 2021, but his coach advised him against the idea, telling him to to “wait to fight here in the United States.”
The UFC then decided to go with Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas as Pimblett's opponent for the upcoming March card, with Motta facing Miller instead. He added: "I wanted to go fight him in London and knock him out inside his hometown.
"That would be beautiful. I’ve done that many times in the United States, knocking someone out in their hometown. It’s amazing."
Pimblett will be on the UFC London card along with fellow Merseyside fighters Molly McCann and Mike Grundy.
Tom Aspinall will headline the card, fighting UFC veteran Alexander Volkov while Arnold Allen will face Dan Hooker in what's expected to a co-main event.
Pimblett will likely be the first fight of the main card, hoping to go 2-0 in the UFC having defeated Luigi Vendramini on his promotional debut last year. UFC London takes place on March 19 at the O2 Arena.
