Paddy Pimblett has spoken on the potential of fighting UFC rival Ilia Topuria in his next fight. Pimblett got into a physical altercation with German-Georgian Ilia Topuria at the fighter's hotel ahead of UFC London, with Topuria telling Pimblett that he 's*** his pants'.
Topuria has had a lot of words for Pimblett after their altercation, calling the Liverpudlian out and stating his intentions to fight him next. The Liverpool MMA star was seen on camera saying 'what's happening lad', before something was thrown with Pimblett getting into it with Topuria. Pimblett, who seemingly was not fazed by the altercation, replies stating: "What lad? I am stood right here. You little maggot."
“I warned you!" Topuria tweeted after the pair's altercation. "This is what happens when you disrespect me and my country! You saw me and wanted to greet me because you s*** your pants… And you should thank my team because if it wasn’t for them separating me, I would have taken your head off. This is not twitter, this is real life."

Pimblett responded, telling Topuria that he showed up for a six-on-one encounter. Pimblett claims that he was alone, while Topuria's team can clearly be seen in the video. He said: "6 vs 1 and yous never done nothin gang of b****es," Pimblett tweeted at Topuria alongside a series of laughing emojis. When a fan replied with a screenshot of the incident, Pimblett jokingly replied: "That’s a screenshot of me slipping a punch."
And now, Pimblett has stated that he's willing to fight Topuria next. Pimblett told BBC Sport: "If his name's on the next contract the UFC send me then yeah, I'll fight him. I don't go out of my way to mention anyone's name because I don't need to. He [Topuria] can do as he pleases. I take everything one fight at a time. You can't plan even five fights ahead because anything can happen."
Pimblett claimed his second UFC victory earlier this month in emphatic fashion with a statement victory over Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas. The win was the second time that Pimblett has fought in the UFC after his debut over Luigi Vendramini in September - a fight in which he also secure a first-round finish.
Like the first fight, the Baddy took a big shot to the face, before showing fans his excellence in Judo with an excellently executed hip toss and before using his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to get in position before locking in a rear naked choke, locking it in tight giving Vargas no choice but to tap.
The victory sees Pimblett's stature rise further, with the rising UFC star admitting that he could have been the main event himself - stating that he's ready to do so. Could that be against Topuria?
