Paddy McGuinness has shared how his young son hilariously mistook a badly designed chocolate Santa for a mushroom, rather than something rude.
The Top Gear presenter shared a picture of the phallic-shaped chocolate Santa, which was featured on a YouTube video called Most Uncomfortable Products Ever Designed, on his Instagram and joked about "the innocence of youth" after his son Leo, eight, thought the candy looked like a mushroom.
In a post earlier uploaded on Sunday, the 48-year-old dad of three said: "Heard my son, Leo, laughing at this he’d paused on YouTube. It was supposed to be a chocolate Santa, he thought it looked like a mushroom instead.
"I didn’t have the heart to tell him. The innocence of youth." He finished the paragraph with a laughing emoji.
Many of Paddy's followers saw the funny side too, with one person saying: "I wish I could see his face in the future when it dawns on him", followed by two laughing face emojis.
Another said: "Mine had this on yesterday, my 6 Yr old said 'aww Santa has no face, those poor kids' I just stayed quiet and smiled!"
One fan also wrote: "Bless, wait till he’s older a few laughs will be had about this."
Earlier, Paddy gave another insight into how his weekend is going, showing that his daughter Felicity was staying up past her bedtime.
Underneath a photo showing Paddy relaxing on a sofa with his daughter, the Question of Sport star said: "Liberties being taken here. Way past her bedtime but my 5 year old, Felicity, is sat here thinking I haven’t clocked her on the end of the couch! I’ve got the boxing and I’m settled so I’ll let her have this victory!!!"
Paddy and his wife Christine, 33, have three children- twins Leo and Penelope, and Felicity, all who have been diagnosed with autism, as well as Christine.
The couple, who married in 2011, spoke about the diagnosis and gave the public an insight into their lives when they filmed the documentary Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism.
The pair celebrated Valentine's Day four days early this year, due to their busy schedules, and enjoyed a trip into Manchester city centre.
Speaking to the Mirror's Jess Boulton's on her 'Jess Saying' Facebook Live interview, Christine explained that their busy diaries mixed with child care needs next week meant she and Paddy wouldn’t be able to celebrate on February 14.
She added that because they've been together for 15 years it can be "easy to forget" Valentine's Day, "but actually it nice to just have a little day together."
Elsewhere in her chat with Jess, Christine explained how Paddy helps her in situations she finds stressful.
She said that she tends to avoid restaurants "like the plague" because she is "really particular with food" and that can make her feel overwhelmed.
Recalling past experiences, she said that if a restaurant is busy or people talk to her, she can "come across as shy or even rude sometimes" because of her reaction to them.
