Paddy McGuinness was jokingly told he had 'caught dad' as he shared his dilemma with his fans and followers. The Bolton-born TV star could be seen talking to the camera from his Cheshire home which he still shares with his ex-wife Christine and their three children.
He appeared to have been out on a bit of a shopping trip and returned home with some new clothes. Paddy, 49, said: "I bought myself some new pairs of slacks, or trousers, depending on what decade you were born in," before panning the camera to show the trousers he had picked out.
"They looked great in the shop, I tried them on - they fitted lovely. Olive green and I don't even know what the colour is," he carried on.

"Thing is, I've got them home, I have no clue what to do with them. What colour trainers, what colour top... Look, I've got nothing on at the minute." Top Gear host Paddy added: " I'm alright with blue jeans, I'm alright with black jeans. Green... khaki... I've had it."
Captioning the hilarious video, Paddy added: "Green or Khaki trousers, what colour tops? I’m at a loss!" Leigh Francis, also known as his alter ego Keith Lemon, was quick to reply: "You’ve caught ‘dad’," before his fans and followers were quick to offer their advice to Paddy on his clothing predicament.
It comes after Paddy got a public message from Christine as he marked Father's Day. The former couple, who share twins Penelope and Leo and youngest daughter Felicity, announced their split in July last year.
Top Gear host Paddy and model and TV personality Christine, 35, have continued to live together in their Cheshire home. Last month, Christine said her and Paddy are 'absolutely fine' with living in the same house despite the split.
During an appearance on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 this week, Christine was asked about the unique living arrangements. "You know what, it's been absolutely fine," Christine, who was diagnosed with autism herself, after all three of her children got the diagnosis, at 33, told host Jeremy.
"I don't know any different than to live with him. I can't remember not living with him. I've been with him since I was 19 years old and we just want to do what's best for our children. It's certainly not a long-term plan." She continued: "But for right now, we don't feel like anything needs to change for me and my children. I think slow changes are better and it works well."
Back to the weekend and to mark Father's Day on Sunday (June 18), Christine made sure to still pull out the stops for her ex as he showed off a bunch of homemade cards as well as a bottle of aftershave he received as a gift.
Taking to Instagram, Paddy shared a close look at each of the five cards. "Absolutely buzzing! My children all drew things I like," he started the caption of his post to his two million followers.
"Not sure if my son did me playing golf or some’t else? Either way I like it! Thank you Leo, Penelope and Felicity. Daddy loves you, his cards and present! Felicity did me a blue heart because I told her it’s one of my favourite colours and Penelope drew me the Top Gear logo. Big up to all the Fart-hers out there!"
While she didn't post to her own Instagram page, Christine shared a message in the comments section of Paddy's post and wrote: "Happy Daddy’s Day," alongside a red love heart.
