Paddy McGuiness has shared his birthday plans as he celebrates hid big day after his split from wife Christine.
The pair issued a joint statement last month to announce they had made the "difficult decision" to separate. The presenter took to his Instagram over the weekend to inform his two million followers of his birthday plans.
Speaking from the shower, Paddy shared a hilarious reel which he said was a "very special edition of shower news: drought edition". Lathering his body in shower gel, the Top Gear presenter told his fans it was his birthday tomorrow, in which he would be turning 49.

However, his initial plans were not looking likely to go ahead as they were now seemingly "out the window". It comes after several areas in the country reported drought status due to recent High temperatures.
He said: "I tell you what, this sun is gorgeous. Yes it's red hot, but I'm enjoying it. It’s my birthday this weekend, August 14, I don't like to talk about it, the big 49. I thought I'd get in the garden with the kids, fill the paddling pool up and whack on the (barbecue) but obviously, all that is out the window now."
He added: "On Monday I'm back in the studio for Question of Sport so come down and watch the show being recorded, we'll have the air con cranked up all the way to 11 so you'll have a lovely time."
He went on to mention his birthday again as he cracked a joke about not accepting items in the post unless "it's really expensive." The soon-to-be 49-year-old ended the reel with more jokes about how he would soon need another shower after hurriedly rinsing off the shower gel, trying to use as little water as possible.
Paddy had fans in "stitches" as one person said: "Bet that was refreshing, birthday weekend for you whoop. The sun is shining and the weather is sweet for this weekend Paddy so enjoy it and make the most of it Paddy, we don’t normally have the sun often lol."
A second wrote: "Lol my days are not complete without you", as a third added: "Oh paddy I do love you", coupled with several laughing emojis. Another commented: "Always making us smile Paddy."
Since his split with Christine, the comedian had been absent from social media since the update. But he soon returned to Instagram to reveal he was filming the latest season of Top Gear.
Paddy and Christine have been married since 2011 and they share three children. There had been speculation in the weeks leading up to their announcement after they took their first separate holidays in years and failed to post anything for their anniversary.
Signed by both of them, their statement read: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify. A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.
"This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together. We hope this now draws a line under any more unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life.
"Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We will be making no further comment. Loads of love."
