Hours after praising their Nottinghamshire Center Parcs family holiday, Paddy and Christine McGuinness have confirmed rumours they have separated.
The McGuinness family spent a week at the resort, saying the kids "absolutely loved it". However, both of them released a statement on their Instagram Stories earlier today. They said that due to lack of privacy the couple had felt forced to clarify the situation, reports the Liverpool Echo.
They have been on a "make or break" holiday with their kids but announced they had actually decided to go separate ways a while ago.
The statement says they "hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no option but to clarify."
They added: "We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter."
The couple earlier said they were supposed to be on a flight to Spain with their children but were instead forced to look elsewhere after realising that his daughter's passport had expired.
That didn't dampen any spirits however, as the family instead managed to bag the last available lodge at Center Parcs and booked their impromptu trip.
