Paddington Bear will follow up his star appearance alongside the Queen with a third movie outing due to begin filming next year, according to reports.

He was last seen on screens in the heartwarming sketch with Elizabeth II released during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this year.

The loveable bear became a symbol for many paying tribute to the monarch following her death on September 8, with many opting to leaving stuffed toys and marmalade sandwiches outside royal residences across the UK.

Capturing the nation’s feeling, the BBC also opted to show both Paddington 1 and 2 during the period of mourning.

Now a third big screen out is said to be heading our way with Paddington 3, titled “Paddington In Peru,” due to begin filming in London and Peru in 2023.

According to MailOnline, the script has been written by Paul King, who directed the first two films with Dougal Wilson taking over directing duties.

Ben Whishaw is expected to return as the voice of Paddington, along with Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins as Mr and Mrs Brown, Julie Walters as Mrs Bird and Jim Broadbent as Mr Gruber, though they have yet to see the script, the report said.

According to the publication, an extended family of bear cousins are set to be introduced.

A spokesman for StudioCanal said it was too early to share any official news of Paddington 3.
