The New York Giants started Sunday’s slate of Week 5 games with a stunning upset in London, knocking off the heavily favored Green Bay Packers by a 27-22
The Giants scored 17 straight points in the second half to go up 27-20 and stun Matt LaFleur’s team overseas.
Here’s how it happened on Sunday in London:
Packers 3, Giants 0: Mason Crosby 45-yard FG
The Packers struck first on the opening drive, using a 35-yard third-down conversion from Aaron Rodgers to Randall Cobb to set up Crosby’s field goal. The drive went 49 yards in nine plays but stalled on 3rd-and-5 after the Giants sent a creative blitz.
Packers 10, Giants 0: Allen Lazard 4-yard TD
The Packers got a 22-yard catch from Romeo Doubs and a 33-yard pass interference penalty on Xavier McKinney to set up Aaron Rodgers’ 4-yard touchdown pass to Allen Lazard on a run-pass option. The scoring drive needed only five plays to cover 60 yards. The Packers have started hot and look in full control in London.

Big Dog is barking in London. On a clever little misdirection play, Aaron Rodgers found veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis wide open for a 2-yard touchdown with 7:25 left in the second quarter. The marathon drive gained 76 yards over 13 plays. The Packers converted one third down but otherwise sliced and diced the Giants defense with quick, effective gains.
Packers 17, Giants 10: Daniel Bellinger 2-yard TD
The Giants aren’t going down without a fight in London. Daniel Bellinger rumbled in from two yards out on a trick play to cut the Packers’ lead to seven with 1:15 left in the first half. The Giants got moving on a 40-yard run from Saquon Barkley, and Daniel Jones converted two third-and-long situations with completions. The scoring drive went 86 yards over 11 plays and took up over six minutes.
Packers 20, Giants 10: Mason Crosby 48-yard FG
The Giants gave the Packers too much time to end the half. Aaron Rodgers drove the offense 44 yards to set up Crosby’s 48-yard field goal as the half expired. An 11-yard run from Aaron Jones and a 20-yard completion from Rodgers to Randall Cobb set up the score. The Packers scored on 4-of-5 drives in the first half.
Packers 20, Giants 13: Graham Gano 37-yard FG
The Giants have now scored on three-straight possessions after Gano knocked home another field goal, his second of the contest. New York converted a pair of third downs on the 11-play, 56-yard drive. Darius Slayton caught passes on back-to-back plays for 27 yards, and a holding penalty from Darnell Savage wiped out a sack from Rashan Gary.

This catch was originally ruled incomplete, but Matt LaFleur challenged the call and it was overturned. A little Toe Drag Swag highlight play from Cobb.
Packers 20, Giants 20: Gary Brightwell 2-yard TD
The Giants tied the game with a 15-play, 91-yard touchdown drive to open the fourth quarter. New York converted two third downs, including a 3rd-and-3 from the 7-yard line. Game on.
Giants 27, Packers 20: Saquon Barkley 2-yard TD

Giants 27, Packers 20: Failure on 4th-and-1
The Packers got down to the Giants’ 6-yard line but failed on 4th-and-1. On back-to-back plays, the Giants batted down a pass from Aaron Rodgers. The Giants took over on downs with 1:02 left.
Giants 27, Packers 22: Safety
On fourth down, the Giants decided to use up clock by taking the safety and giving the Packers two points with 10 seconds left.
