Welcome to the second day of training camp for the Green Bay Packers. Matt LaFleur’s team got in an 87-minute practice on Monday to kick off camp. As of Tuesday morning, quarterback Jordan Love was still without a new contract, meaning he’ll miss another practice.

No update from LaFleur on Jordan Love’s contract.
LaFleur said Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph will kick on Tuesday after James Turner handled kicking duties on Monday. LaFleur said there would be a rotation every day.
Along the offensive line, LaFleur said Elgton Jenkins getting more snaps at center was a way to give Josh Myers a breather during practice.
Injury updates
According to LaFleur, rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd (hip) isn’t expected to be out long, but he’ll likely miss practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Jaire Alexander, who dropped out late in Monday’s practice, LaFleur said the veteran cornerback was just “overheating a little bit.”

Roster news to start practice: The Packers signed quarterback Jacob Eason and released long snapper Peter Bowden, per Matt Schneidman. Eason will provide a third quarterback while Love’s contract is negotiated. Bowden is a rookie from Wisconsin. Matt Orzech will be the lone long snapper on the roster.

Fourth-round pick Evan Williams is getting some work alongside Xavier McKinney with the first-team defense, per Wes Hodkiewicz.
On Tuesday, Anders Carlson went 6-for-6 and Greg Joseph finished 5-for-6 as the kickers worked in wet, rainy conditions. Good start for Carlson, who made all four of his kicks over 40 yards. Joseph missed from 43.
Rashan Gary dominated the second half of the practice. Per Rob Demovsky, he had three sacks in a four-play stretch against the first-team offense. Andre Dillard can’t block him, unsurprisingly.
The offense got 15 pushups to end the practice. Defense was the clear winner.

The Packers are back at practice on Wednesday before a mandated day off on Thursday.
