The Green Bay Packers will host an official top-30 pre-draft visit with Minnesota safety Jordan Howden, per Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network.
Teams are allowed 30 visits with prospects before the 2023 draft. A list of the Packers’ reported visits can be found here.
Howden (5-11, 203) started 49 of 58 games at Minnesota, tallying 240 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 20 pass breakups and four interceptions. He was a captain and an All-Big Ten selection in 2022.
At the Scouting Combine, Howden ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds, hit 33.5″ in the vertical and covered 9-11 in the broad jump while finishing 14 reps in the bench press.
Howden produced a Relative Athletic Score of 8.80 when combining his testing numbers from the combine and Minnesota’s pro day.
The Packers may see Howden as an ideal two-high free safety who can play immediately on special teams. Most view Howden as a likely Day 3 pick in the 2023 draft.
