The Green Bay Packers ranked sixth among the 32 NFL teams in a wide-ranging survey conducted by the NFL Players Association focused on eight important factors related to a player’s experience.
The survey, which included responses from 1,300 players league-wide, was designed to help inform players on future team-related decisions and help “raise standards around the league.”
The Packers received an ‘A’ for nutrition, weight room, strength staff and travel. The team’s lowest grade came in the quality of the training room, but no one grade came in lower than a B-.
On possible improvements, from the NFLPA: “For starters, while the locker room has a ton of space, players believe it can use a refresh and modernization. Second, we learned that players believe that additional physical therapists should be added to the staff; many players noted that they have outsourced their physical therapy due to understaffing.”
In terms of willingness to spend money to aid the player experience, 82 percent of Packers players said the team was willing to spend to upgrade the facility.
