Packers QB Jordan Love throws disastrous pick-six to end first half vs. Lions

A poor decision under pressure from quarterback Jordan Love put the Green Bay Packers in a big hole at halftime against the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Trailing 10-3 and attempting to drive for points before the half, Love drifted back under pressure and attempted to dump the ball to running back Josh Jacobs, but Lions safety Kerby Joseph intercepted the ill-advised pass and returned the pick 27 yards for a game-changing pick-six.

What could have been a one-score game or even a tied game at half is now 17-3 in favor of the Lions.

Here’s the disastrous play from Love:

Given the situation, throwing the ball away would have been a far better decision.

Joseph now has six interceptions this season, tied with Packers safety Xavier McKinney for the NFL lead.

Love has thrown an interception in seven straight games to start 2024 and now has two pick-sixes this season, tying Will Levis for the NFL lead.

The Lions get the ball to start the second half. Can Love and the Packers shake off the late mistake and put together a rally? First place in the NFC North is on the line at Lambeau Field.
