The Green Bay Packers placed receiver TJ Luther on the injured/practice squad list, opening up a spot on the team’s practice squad. The move was announced Monday, a day after the Packers beat the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field in Week 6.
Luther was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 10. An undrafted rookie out of Gardner-Webb in 2023, Luther spent time with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers as a rookie.
During his final collegiate season, Luther caught 63 passes for 1,166 yards and eight touchdowns. Over the last two preseasons, Luther was targeted six times without a catch on 36 routes run.
The Packers have not elevated Luther to the gameday roster this season.
Because Luther is no longer active, the Packers can fill his spot on the practice squad with a signing. No addition was immediately announced on Monday.
The Packers have rookies Corneilus Johnson and Julian Hicks on the practice squad at wide receiver.
